Golden Age Remade

As a culture grows and technology advances how are we, as a society, supposed to decide what gets kept through restoration and preservation, what gets replicated or rebuilt and even what gets neglected and forgotten? If we choose to rebuild historic structures, how then are we to ensure and enforce historical accuracy for the next generation? The same could be asked of cultural art forms, are we willing to let them deteriorate and eventually fade away from existence and memory?

This ongoing portfolio aims to highlight the rapid deterioration of cultural artifacts, structures and impact of modernization to history. The infrared medium with gold toning was chosen deliberately for the ethereal aesthetics.
